Server: ISE_032017-1 2017-03-20 00:00:00 UTC  (OSX 64-bit)

  1. KNOWN ISSUE: Ignision SE: Logins on console taking a long time to complete when Ignision SE is installed.
  2. KNOWN ISSUE: Ignision SE: New login's will be delayed for up to two minutes after all users previously logged out due to OS X "WindowServer" process resetting itself.  This is a bug in OS X that we're addressing with Apple.

  4. BUG FIX: Ignision SE: Fixed failed logins for users who didn't have home directories. This affected Active Directory users, in particular. This appeared to user as the Ion Desktop Client or RDP client attempting to connect forever and the Mac console console would restart the login screen. This would also present to the user as a 1-2 second black screen after they enter their login credentials on the Mac console and then they would be dropped back to the login screen thus preventing them from ever logging in.

  10. BUG FIX: Ignision Menubar Icon: Occasionally the shutdown or restart message box initiated from the Ignision menu bar icon would be displayed under other windows so it seemed as though the menu functions did nothing.  Now the window is displayed above all others so it is always visible.

  11. CHANGE: Login Screen: The keyboard focus naturally switched to the restart button when login began, which caused the button to appear with a dotted line around it. Now the focus is set to nowhere to prevent any UI element from looking like it has the focus.

  1. BUG FIX: When the connection was lost in full-screen mode, the resulting dialog/message box could not be seen. The only way out was to press escape, but the user did not know this. Now the application leaves full screen mode before displaying the dialog/message box so it can be seen.

  9. NEW: Client now verifies the version of the server and the server now verifies the version of the client when the connection is initially made. This prevents users from updating only one when both must be. A message is reported to the user when the connection is attempted and one side or the other is incompatible and requires an update.
  10. NEW: OSX platform: Option+Shift+k now generates the apple symbol in edit widgets. This was added specifically for passwords.

Only the tab for the first message box would be closed when the message box was closed. The build date on this release is incorrect!
  1. BUG FIX: The Ion desktop client not understanding the locale/IME information returned by the operating system caused the connection attempt to be aborted and the session immediately closed. Now the client passes a list of English defaults to the server. If the server doesn't match one then it leaves the current IME setting in place. The user is informed when: a) the client IME is not supported, in which case they are prompted to send the supplied information to Aqua Connect; b) the client is unable to send defaults, which should never actually happen in practice, but the edge case is handled; c) the server cannot map any of the locales received from the desktop client to locales on the server; d) the server can map the desktop client locale to a locale on the server, but the API to set the IME fails.

  3. BUG FIX: Handshake errors (e.g. bad username or password) were not being reported.

  5. CHANGE: Bumped version number from "2.0" to "2.1".
  6. CHANGE: Added more complete information to errors and warnings reported to the user. Now each error and warning condition is uniquely identified. Enhanced support for ION HID device errors received from server.

  18. NEW: Window state from last application execution is restored when application is started.
  19. NEW: Added scale display enable/disable to new connection wizard and session properties
